My boyfriend and I stopped at Ocean Dreams in Oconomowoc on Hwy P a half mile north of 16. They are back under original ownership but are undergoing some major renovations. They are selling off pretty much everything in the store in order to get it going again since the former owner had some financial problems. There was a 200 gallon tank going for $500, including glass tops and undergravel. 55 gallon tank full Aqueon setup with heater, hood, etc. for $120. Pretty much everything is half price. Awesome deals on the inventory that he has left. The guy was really nice and straightforward with us, we're planning on going back with a list of everything we need for a new tank we are starting (food, chemicals, etc.). He said he is usually there 1-8 except Sundays, otherwise you can still make purchases at the video store that is attached but I'd recommend talking to him because he may be willing me to make a better deal.

I know who you are talking about.
Aquatic World has "gone out of business" several times and it's always the same story.
I have dealt with Jim (who owns the building), on a business basis when I worked for an aquatic wholesaler and am not the kind of person to post public my opinions of someone.

Its a good place to buy a tank (can't beat the prices) if you can stand the "going out of business" drama.
Lets just keep it at that.

Oh, gotcha. My boyfriend said he used to go there occasionally but that was over two years ago, we just stopped in on a whim after we finished some Christmas shopping today so I just know the story as we got it from him. Like you said, definitely great tank prices either way.

Is it the same guy who owned it when it was shoe horned into the tiny downtown store?

It's the only place I've bought my tanks from...great prices for them. I think I paid $95/100 for my $75 gallon tank. I almost bought my RR125 for $200 there but got a better deal from someone who bought it elsewhere and didn't end up having enough room for it (lucky me).

I just may be making a drive over to Jim again for a price on some 40 breeders (and some drama) %-(
If the tanks at the Coral Corner are not 40 breeders.
Has anyone been there recently (Ocean Dreams)?
