Hi everyone, I hope you made it to FS 2016 yesterday.

IN the past I thought there had been some threads on
Pics/purchases, etc.

I also thought there had been some threads on feedback to help it continue to be a
really cool, productive gathering of reef enthusiansts.
I really haven't seen anything yet, so I'd thought I'd start one- MOds- you have my permission
to remove this thread if you feel it's not appropriate, etc. It's meant to be a positive productive thread. ;)

My purchases:
Forgot what it's called, encrusting...

Image

And a green candy cane- I had grown these neon green CC's for over 5 years, trading and giving many away.
Now I have a starter frag to grow it again!

Image
- These came from Dan and Dons table- thanks guys- was great to see you again too.

And another flat valve so my my newest sump for the FT/QT now has it's own auto DIY ATO.

As far as feedback- FS is and always has been a well run, great event.
Now without criticizing anyone-
I heard from a few people, how little if any info/promotion was available b/f the event.
I mentioned it and was referred to the FB page, etc.
FB/Smacebook-
I have heard in the past that this is not a WRS event, or something like that- but it could still
be pushed a bit better on the WRS website, w/o damaging the Space/Time continuum.
The only thread I really saw about it was the volunteer/WRS table- Which I was happy to have volunteered some time.

AND- believe it or not- one person I was talking to OUTSIDE over a beer, a new member with
a lot of great ideas and excellent addition to the Group, with a really nice build thread-
mentioned how it would be nice to have some nametags to to write your name and screen name on-
IF you wanted to.
When I brought this up before- it got way blown out of proportion, and ended in
the Members getting their own laminated nametag, in a holder, etc.
Great for members I guess- but what about non memeber newbies trying to
get to know others- and only know a screen name.
* As a tangent- I heard from at least a few peeps yesterday how
I was the first 'reefer' they met/communicated with, etc. when they started.
(I know- poor people having met me #-o )

I now think I remember that someone thought it was a good idea to have
the generic/sticky/one day only name tags like so many conventions/events have;
So IF YOU CARE TO- you can write your first name and your WRX screen Name -
IF YOU WANTED TO- so that people using the WRS site- whether true members or site users
could put a face with a screen name- start up conversations, exchange info if they desired etc.

I also think I now remember that someone said- OK Todd
get the sticky name tags and a few Felt tip markers/colors next time for those that want to
wear one.
Sorry, I forgot and dropped the ball on that one then.

Again, well run, well organized as always!! :-bd ^:)^
A big thanks to everyone who makes it happen :-bd :-bd

Despite what I have mentioned, I didn't hear any negative feedback about the event, vendors, etc.
Looked like everyone had a good time!

I thought it was a great event minus the one coral mishap I had. Turnout seemed to be great as it was pretty packed while I was there. I think everyone that put this event together did a great job.

And thanks to all the sponsors that donated raffle items ;)

I'm waiting to see how handled before I go to that.

See aznnutty's Facebook post? Guy says he lost 20k in corals.

Happy with the items I picked up.

I'm not sure he had 20k worth there. Just doing simple math with image of his setup in my head. Maybe high high retail 20k worth.

Seller of coral I had issue with made everything good. More people need to be like him.

I thought it was well run and we'll attended. Thanks to everyone who put it together. Here are pics of what I got. Since it's only day the first day after, some aren't quite opened up yet.
